Britain's Premier Ghostbusters Fan Community
...in your cause. Uniting Ghostbusters fans across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — building screen-accurate props, attending conventions, and raising money for charity since 2008.
From the Highlands to Kent · From Belfast to Norwich · One community, many franchises
The U.K. Ghostbusters is a not-for-profit costume and fan group built on a shared love of the Ghostbusters franchise — from the original 1984 films through Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire. We are not a single team but an umbrella community, home to a growing network of regional franchises spread across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
What began in 2008 with a handful of dedicated fans building their first proton packs has grown into one of Europe's most active Ghostbusters communities. We regularly attend conventions, charity events, comic cons, school visits, and public appearances in full screen-accurate costume — bringing the franchise to life for fans of every age.
Our mission is simple: share our love of Ghostbusters, make people smile, and raise money for charities that need it. Every appearance we make, every event we attend, is geared toward that goal. We're proud to have raised funds for causes ranging from Vasculitis UK to children's hospices, air ambulances, and local community organisations.
The forum is the beating heart of our community — a place to share builds, get advice on screen-accurate equipment, discuss upcoming events, and connect with fellow Ghostheads across the country. Whether you're a seasoned prop builder or someone who just watched Ghostbusters for the first time, there's a place for you here.
The U.K. Ghostbusters is made up of independently run regional franchises, each with their own team, kit and chosen charities. Find the franchise closest to you — or register your own.

VUK would like to thank the 'UK Ghostbusters' — a fantastic group of Ghostbusters fans who have been fundraising and raising awareness for Vasculitis and Vasculitis UK for the last two years, through appearances at film and comic conventions, digicons and holding auctions.— Vasculitis UK Newsletter, Spring 2016 (Issue 51)
On 24 February 2014, the world lost Harold Ramis — Ghostbusters co-writer, director, and the man who brought Egon Spengler to life. Harold passed away from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disorder that destroys blood vessels through inflammation.
In his memory, The U.K. Ghostbusters adopted Vasculitis UK as our principal national charity. Every event we attend, every proton pack we strap on, is in part a tribute to the man who gave us something to believe in.
Beyond Vasculitis UK, our regional franchises each choose local charities that matter to their communities. Together we have raised funds for children's hospices, mental health services, heart charities, cancer support and more.
