The Early Days
In the beginning, our idea was simple:

Forum Update Post - December 2025

Recent Improvements & Bug Fixes 🎄

Hello everyone,

We've been hard at work behind the scenes making some important improvements to the forum. Here's what's been fixed:

✅ Email Notifications Fixed

We've resolved issues with forum email notifications not being delivered properly. All system emails now send from web@theukghostbusters.co.uk and should arrive reliably in your inbox.

What this means for you:

• You'll now receive notifications for mentions, replies, and group activity
• Password reset emails will work correctly
• Group ownership invitations will be delivered properly

If you were missing notifications before, they should now work as expected!

✅ Group Posting Permissions Restored

Registered users can now create topics and reply to discussions in groups they've joined!

This was a permissions issue that prevented members from participating in their franchise group discussions. It's now fully resolved.

What this means for you:

• Join any franchise group and start posting immediately
• Share updates, photos, and discussions with your team
• No more "not authorized" errors when trying to post

✅ Group Management Tools Working

We've fixed a critical bug where group moderators and owners weren't displaying in the admin interface. Group owners can now properly:

• View their moderator lists
• Add or remove group managers
• Manage group permissions
• See all pending ownership requests

📢 New: Franchise Owners Support Channel

We've created a dedicated support channel for franchise owners: Franchise Owners Support

This is an exclusive area where group owners can:

• Get help managing their franchise groups
• Connect with other franchise owners
• Access resources and best practices
• Report issues directly to the admin team

⚠️ Action Required: Group Owners

If you've been invited to take ownership of your franchise group, please check your Notifications Centre (bell icon) and accept the invitation to complete the process.
